Chasing Rabbits

Renowned author Michael Farris Smith worked with the Institute for Southern Storytelling for his directorial debut, a film adaptation of his short story “Chasing Rabbits.”

After having her home vandalized in the middle of the night, a truck stop waitress makes an impulsive, irreversible decision to change the course of her life.

I had the privilege of working as an A-camera operator and cinematographer on this film alongside Anthony Thaxton and Kate Gammill. This film was submitted to film festivals worldwide and aired on PBS.
